How to prepare for PR

PR takes a lot of organisation. Whilst a bulk of the job is about reaching out to press, there is also plenty going on behind the scenes. Before reaching out to media you need to have all your assets ready.

This is why we create a ‘PR Toolkit’ for all our clients to make sure that we have all our PR tools in one place.

This consists of:

Press releases

Biography

Imagery

Target media list

Media database

PR calendar

Press clippings

If you’re creating a toolkit for yourself, you will be sharing the top three items with media regularly, so I suggest making your toolkit on Dropbox or Google Drive so you simply have to share a link with press for them to access the necessary information.
